The procedure for gynaecomastia surgery varies from patient to patient. Some patients are treated using liposuction, especially since techniques have become less invasive. Liposuction is performed through small incisions made either around the nipple or in the armpit area. Excess fat and/or glandular tissue is removed to contour the chest to suit your body.
In some cases tissue and excess skin are removed during the gynaecomastia surgery. This is especially the case if there is stretched or sagging skin in the breast area. The excision technique makes it possible to remove more tissue than is possible with liposuction alone. Incisions are made around the nipple or along a natural crease so that scaring is less conspicuous.
During the consultation, we will discuss the best options to achieve your desired results.
